in this video I'm gonna show you how you
can add or change a custom thumbnail on
your YouTube videos in 2020 so as you
can see right there on this channel of
mine I actually have custom YouTube
thumbnails now in order to actually add
these first of all you want to make sure
to verify your account so go into your
settings click on channel status and
features if you don't have a verified
account yet right there you'll find a
button where you can click on verify and
you can then verify your account by
confirming your phone number now if you
have already done that you can go into
your YouTube studio click on the videos
right there then go into the video that
you want to add or change the thumbnail
for so go into the details then next up
scroll down right there you'll find the
thumbnail section you can choose any of
these pre-selected thumbnails although I
recommend adding a custom thumbnail
because it's way better and then right
there you can click on change or if you
haven't added one yet it will say upload
a thumbnail if you want to change it you
can click right there so click on these
free dots which stands for options click
on change and then you can find another
picture let's say this one you didn't
click on open and it will then select a
thumbnail click on save at the top right
corner and that's how you can add or
change a custom thumbnail on your
YouTube videos in 2020 if you appreciate
